Eigenthings
About this series
Another definition:
Eigen- /ˈīɡən/ ∙ combining from mathematics and physics ∙ 1 proper, characteristic, and specific.
The term eigen has well-established roots in math. Purely, eigenvalues, eigenvectors, and eigenfunctions offer insights in solving linear systems whose transformation is a scalar value. But the idea has incredible importance beyond that, and eigenthings appear in a multitude of topics from physics to machine learning.
The goal of Eigenthings is to condense a variety of finer topics in math into digestible format. That is, the goal of these posts is to be proper, characteristic, and specific in nature.
